About the Course |
Career counsellors help adolescents and young adults to choose the right career path and succeed in the chosen field. Career Counsellors are psychologists who help adolescents and youth at cross roads who are unable to decide which course to take and select appropriate career path. They also offer Career Guidance to individuals already employed who yet find themselves at crossroads.
Every school psychologist and school counsellor needs to be aware of the modus operandi of career counselling as it is a requirement when dealing with children, adolescents and young adults. A career counsellor would help this targeted group to fit into the apt career thus promoting the right fit for the right profession.
It is essentially very important that career counsellors need a lot of expertise in the areas of personality, aptitude, abilities and careers available now and values of the targeted group.
