About the Course

It is an inherent trait in humans to be smart, intelligent and socially accepted. Social acceptance perhaps is the most sought after, maybe only second to money and fame. Today’s age of social networking doesn’t help much either. Perhaps it only adds to the additional pressure of being in demand, to see how many people you have in your friends list. The number of friends in the friends list adds that extra edge and charm to the individual, giving them a kind of social dominance. Even in the professional circles, networking plays a major role. The network of friends help in a huge way in getting deals clinched, getting a job recommendation, helping with a project, etc. But all of this cannot be achieved if you are shy and are suffering from social anxiety disorder.

Social anxiety and shyness often coexist, each having their own peculiarities and similarities.

Social anxiety affects the day to day activity and can be a huge hindrance in the growth and progression of an individual. It can affect personal and professional relationships and can leave one feeling isolated and lonely. Simple activities like going to a restaurant with friends, attending a wedding, going out on a date, etc can all seem very challenging for individuals with social anxiety. Knowing what to do and how to do can help in overcoming social anxiety and shyness.
